2012 Text 1 话题:教育相关积累相关词汇(homework/school district… 2012Text1难度:偏难 学习重点:做题套路文章/题干/选项 本篇颜色标注:黄色:homework 绿色:policy/rule/approach 2012 Text 1 1Homework has never been terribly popular with students and even many parents, but in recent years it has been particularly scorned. School districts across the country, most recently Los Angeles Unified, are revising their thinking on this educational ritual. Unfortunately, L.A. Unified has produced an inflexible policy which mandates that with the exception of some advanced courses, homework may no longer count for more than 10% of a student’s academic grade. 开篇方式:开门见山(unfortunately转折开篇) 中心思想:读完21-24题干“有关家庭作业的政策+不好” 思考:第一段哪一句是中心思想?第3句政策:家庭作业不能超成绩的10% 21题问如今家庭作业 题型:细节题(细节)推理题 做题方法:精定位问啥找啥(逻辑关系) 注意事项:题干有时间指向词,注意时间应(时间不对应是一种常见错误) 痛点:1.定位没注意时间2.单词不认识scorn=criticism [A] is receiving more criticism(-) [B] is no longer an educational ritual 不再是教育惯例反 [C] is not required for advanced courses不被要求在高级课程中反 [D] is gaining more preferences(+) 思考AD什么关系?AD相反选项必选其一 2District administrators say that homework will still be a part of schooling: teachers are allowed to assign as much of it as they want. But with homework counting for no more than 10% of their grades, students can easily skip half their homework and see very little difference on their report cards. Some students might do well on state tests without completing their homework, but what about the students who performed well on the tests and did their homework? It is quite possible that the homework helped. It is not too late for L.A. Unified to do homework right. 思考第5段写什么?给建议 作业:积累表示给建议的句型(很多题会问建议) 1. XXX should …. 2.it is not too late for sb.to do sth. 21题答案:A 22题答案:C 23题答案:A 24题答案:B 25题答案:D 全文行文结构:政策+评价 介绍政策→分析原因 给出评价 提出建议 文章中心思想:L.A.学区针对家庭作业的新政策存在逻辑矛盾与实施问题,需重新审视。 词汇积累:scorn=criticism;impoverished=poor;across-the-board=inflexible;empower sb.to do sth.授权某人做某事;put on hold暂缓实施。 长难句翻译:But if the district is essentially giving a pass to students who do not do their homework because of complicated family lives, it is going riskily close to the implication that standards need to be lowered for poor children. 译文:但如果学区本质上是给那些因家庭生活复杂而不做作业的学生“开绿灯”,则近乎冒险暗示对贫困儿童的标准需要降低。
